NetRival (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the NetRival mobile application. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

Information We Collect

• Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email (or sign-in method), username, and any profile data you provide. This is stored and processed using Firebase Authentication.
• Game and match data: Scores, match history, friend connections, and in-app progress are stored in our database (Firebase Firestore) to provide gameplay and social features.
• Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used (e.g., feature usage, match completion). This helps us improve the app and does not personally identify you by default.
• Advertising: The app may show ads (e.g., via Google Mobile Ads). With your consent (when you allow tracking), advertising identifiers may be used to show more relevant ads. You can change this in your device settings.
• Purchases: In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not store your payment details; we receive only purchase status and subscription state as needed to unlock features.
• Push notifications: If you enable notifications, we use a device token to send you match updates and other alerts. You can disable this in device or app settings.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to provide and improve the app, including: running matches and leaderboards, syncing progress across devices, supporting friends and invites, showing relevant ads (where permitted), sending notifications you opt into, and analyzing usage.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed with service providers (e.g., Firebase/Google for auth and database, Apple for purchases) under their respective privacy terms. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

Data Retention & Security

We retain your account and game data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. We use industry-standard measures to protect your data.

Your Rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these or ask questions, contact us at the support email below.

Children

Our app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at this URL and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
